WHAT'S ON BOARD THIS SEASON

FROM KATIE'S DESK

Spring Arrived, and So Did a Whole New Set of Obsessions

Every season, we do a reset. We pull inspiration from the projects we're living inside of, the things filling our feeds, the books on our nightstands, and the materials we keep reaching for. And every time, a palette emerges that feels less like a trend and more like a collective exhale.

This spring, that exhale looks like Sherwin-Williams Cascade Green built floor-to-ceiling in a mudroom with dark oak and brass. It looks like Borastapeter's new tulip wallpaper paired with a soft stripe in the same warm sand family. It looks like petite taupe ceramic wall tile in a kitchen that has black natural stone countertops and off-white cabinetry.

The throughline? Things that feel considered. Not decorated. There's a difference, and it's something we talk about constantly on our projects right now.

Below, a closer look at what's catching our eye, and why.

ON OUR RADAR

CURRENTLY READING

The Correspondent by Virginia Evans is the one showing up everywhere right now, and for good reason. It's the kind of book that makes you want to slow everything down. We feel that.

ON PROJECTS

We're deep in several reveals this spring. Summit Avenue, Hidden Creek, and Derrymoor Court are all wrapping in the coming weeks. More to share soon, including some of the most layered interiors we've built to date.

If a 2026 project has been living in the back of your mind, now is a good time to reach out. Our calendar fills fast.

Until next time,

Katie + the Jkath team

You Walk Past it Everyday There's a term for what happens to our brains in familiar spaces. Habituation. It's the same reason you stop hearing the hum of your refrigerator, stop noticing the crack in the hallway plaster, stop registering that the kitchen layout has never actually worked for how your family moves. And for most homeowners, it's the reason the project that needs to happen most is the one that keeps getting pushed. We often hear from you, that you've waited over 20 years to do...

Spring Has a Way of Making It Obvious You walk through your front door and something shifts. Maybe it's the light coming in differently now that the days are longer. Maybe it's that corner of the kitchen you've been mentally redesigning for two years. Maybe it's just - this isn't working anymore. Spring is the season homeowners feel it most. The itch to change. And then, almost immediately, the overwhelm. Where do I even start? It's the question we hear more than any other. And honestly? It's...

It's March, and We're in a Mood! Our Spring Mood Board is here, bringing together a collection of client installs, shoppable pieces, and a few seasonal investments we’re currently eyeing. Consider it a peek inside what’s inspiring our studio right now. Fresh Spring inspired wallpaper, dewy serum that hits perfectly for fine lines (tested and approved), our favorite durable counter stools (worth the investment), and a few season apparel staples.
